An opportunity has arisen to join us as a Sales Manager working at our Epsom site. The main purpose of the position is to assist the General Sales Manager in managing the sales operation. This incorporates all the Company’s products and services and making decisions regarding the sales unit. To achieve optimal utilisation of the market, a high level of customer satisfaction and high yields for the department in accordance with the Company management goals.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review the financial situation and compile the daily operating controls (DOC)
  • Review retained profit and F&I performance
  • Take responsibility for lead allocation
  • Ensure walk-ins are recorded on showroom log and Dealerweb
  • Review live leads on Dealerweb
  • Review volume of leads and offers made
  • Work with the General Sales Manager to review conversions of sales people and implement plans where required
  • Plan, organise, direct, coach, lead and motivate the Sales Team taking steps to create a professional and customer focused environment
  • Lead, develop and maintain an effective relationship with the Transaction Managers to jointly deliver the site unit targets
  • Ensure the new vehicle range is presented professionally in line with brand guidelines
  • Control preparations costs and standards by working closely with the General Sales Manager
  • Ensure all leads are responded to with Sandown SLA
  • Ensure that all potential part exchanges are appraised in line with the company procedure, regularly spot checking the quality of appraisal
  • Ensure that Part exchange valuations are in line with market trends
  • Respond promptly to any customer complaints and ensure timely and correct resolution
  • Continually review vehicle debtors to ensure Company policy on vehicle debts is applied
  • Ensure all reports are completed in an accurate and timely manner
  • Ensure that the TM team completes all Sales Executive 121s, assisting where appropriate
  • Ensure sales training needs are met efficiently and are in line with operational requirements

You will require:

  • a high level of attention to detail
  • a passion for customer satisfaction
  • FCA accredited: knowledge of finance and related systems
  • knowledge of insurance products
  • understanding of car valuations and advanced negotiation skills
  • experience in a management position

Hours of work: The showroom is open from 8.30 - 18.00 Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00 Saturday and 10:00 - 16:00 Sunday. Weekend work on a rota basis will be required; however, a 5-day week will be worked. Total 45 hours per week. A Company car will be provided as part of the remuneration package.
