Marketing Executive – Hotels.
Northland Properties UK are looking for a talented, driven, and enthusiastic Marketing Executive to support the management of our hotels brands in the UK&I – including Portmarnock Resort & Jameson Golf Links and Sandman Signature Hotels.
Following over 40 years of success in Canada, Northland Properties brought Canadian hospitality to the UK in 2011, in the form of this portfolio of brands.
Northland Properties now operate hotels, resorts, restaurants and bars in Newcastle, London Gatwick, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Sheffield and Portmarnock, near Dublin with further expansion planned into the future. The construction and opening of Sandman Signature Edinburgh Hotel is coming soon.
Based in our Newcastle Head Office, our Marketing Executive will have a passion for marketing – with marketing experience in hotels, bars, or restaurants. This role will report into the Regional Director for Marketing UK&I and will support the business with all aspects of marketing across our hotel portfolio. In your day-to-day you will be producing content, building and scheduling e-mails, updating websites and briefing our Graphic Designer to deliver the marketing plan for hotels.
The successful candidate will have a good understanding of the full marketing mix, but will be willing to specialize as our group and team grows. Preferably with a relevant degree or equivalent and a demonstrable passion for marketing and guest experience.
Marketing Executive – Duties
- Support the Regional Director of Marketing UK&I to build and deliver the UK&I hotel marketing plan
- Work with our digital agency to produce ad creatives and copy.
- Briefing relevant external agencies on upcoming marketing campaigns, events, or projects so they are delivered on time, on budget and to our high standards
- Create outstanding content, including photoshoots, videography and copywriting
- Create e-mails, ensuring GDPR compliance and appropriate audience filtering
- Be a brand custodian across all brands; ensuring brand guidelines are adhered to consistently
- Digital administrative tasks like data formatting, uploads and website updates
- Manage printed collateral and brief our hotel management teams
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand briefs for marketing support
- Other duties as required that fit within the level of this position
Essential Skills & Experience
- 2-4 years in a marketing or similar position
- A demonstrably proficient copywriter
- The ability to demonstrate the creation of outstanding content
- Methods that allow you to manage and prioritize competing requests on your time
- A good general understanding across the marketing mix; specifically, CRM, PPC, Social and Content Marketing
Desirable Skills & Experience
- A marketing degree or equivalent
- Knowledge of the hospitality industry; specifically, hotels, bars or restaurants
- Have a commercial outlook in everything that you do
