Sandicliffe is looking for a qualified Motor Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join the team in Nottingham Nissan. This role involves carrying out diagnostic routines, repairs, and vehicle testing in a professional and safe manner, ensuring all work meets manufacturer and industry standards. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs to manufacturer and MOT standards.
  • Perform electronic visual health checks (eVHC) and provide expert advice to customers.
  • Complete pre‑ and post‑service inspections of customer vehicles.
  • Procure necessary parts and ensure all work is tested for safety and quality.
  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with company policy and industry regulations.
  • Comply with Health & Safety legislation and company standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up to date with industry advancements.
  • Mentor and support apprentices and junior technicians.
Skills and Experience Required
  • Level 3 IMI qualified Vehicle Technician (or equivalent).
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • EV qualification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • A customer‑focused approach, with the ability to communicate technical details to non‑technical audiences.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
