Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Road Freight Coordinator role based in Feltham. The Road Freight Coordinator will manage day-to-day road freight operations, including arranging imports and exports, booking transport, and coordinating collections and deliveries with carriers, clients, and partners. Responsibilities include preparing and checking documentation, monitoring shipments, resolving operational issues, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and service standards. The role involves maintaining clear communication with customers, providing updates, handling queries and service issues, and supporting the sales and operations teams with quotations and rate requests. The coordinator will also be expected to update internal systems accurately, support continuous process improvements, and contribute to a safe and efficient working environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication with customers, carriers, and internal teams.
  • Proven customer service skills, with the ability to manage queries, resolve issues, and build long-term client relationships.
  • Hands‑on experience in road freight operations, with a good understanding of freight processes and logistics workflows.
  • Knowledge of import and export procedures, including documentation, customs requirements, and regulatory compliance.
  • Good organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple shipments simultaneously.
  • Competence with standard office software and transport management or freight systems; willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment and to use initiative when handling day‑to‑day operational challenges.
  • Previous experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or transport coordination is preferred; relevant vocational training or industry qualifications are an advantage.
