We are looking for a Tax Manager to join a high-performing finance team in a hybrid role based in London. This position acts as second-in-command to the Head of Tax and will play a key role in shaping and scaling the global tax function. It is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic financial services environment and wants to have a direct impact on strategic tax matters.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting the Head of Tax in developing and executing the global tax strategy
- Leading on corporate tax compliance and reporting across multiple jurisdictions
- Assisting with tax provisioning and ensuring accuracy under relevant accounting standards
- Advising on the tax implications of business initiatives and transactions
- Identifying and managing tax risks
- Partnering with internal teams to integrate tax into broader financial planning and operations
- Helping design and enhance tax processes, controls, and systems as part of a growing tax function
About you:
- Significant experience in corporate tax within the financial services industry
- Strong track record in building or significantly contributing to the development of an in-house tax function
- Technically strong with a detailed understanding of tax compliance and reporting
- Excellent communicator with the ability to influence and engage across functions
- Experience in transfer pricing and VAT is a plus, but not essential
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
