Senior Recruitment Consultant – Cloud, DevOps & Testing

Fantastic new opportunity to the market to join our Glasgow-based Fintech client, specialising in managed Cloud provision. The business is now recruiting for a seasoned Senior Systems Engineer, as they continue to grow their tech team from their newly opened, state-of-the-art tech hub in Glasgow.

This is a key hire, joining the fast-paced DevSecOps team, with candidates required to possess extensive expertise across automation, Linux administration and networking; ensuring and maximising performance. You will be proactive in nature and embrace an automation-first approach, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively.

You will play a key role in maintaining and automating infrastructure and service delivery, ensuring high availability, security and scalability. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, a proactive approach to system improvements, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Experience (A blend of):

  • Proven experience in Automation and Config management (Ansible, Packer, Terraform)
  • Extensive expertise in networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, Firewalls).
  • Exposure to on-premise server deployment (VMWare, KVM, MaaS).
  • Source Control (Git).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • DevOps/Cloud knowledge
  • Exposure to CI/CD tooling (BitBucket, Jenkins).
  • Hands-on experience with network and server hardware.
  • Experience working with monitoring tools (Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Windows administration
  • Exposure to industry security practices.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.

Candidates will be considered from a range of backgrounds and will have a blend of the above, but must be proactive, driven and enthusiastic to cope with the fast-paced nature of the role.
