Key Summary: FinTech / Payments - Growth & Commercial focussed role but someone with strong API and technical knowledge.
Overview: We’ve partnered exclusively with a growing global fintech seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead a key in-person payments product vertical. In this role, you’ll work closely with commercial, partner, and technical teams to shape and scale payment capabilities across new customer channels. The business has already established the product foundation, and your focus will be expanding the offering into broader physical and digital acceptance environments. You’ll help define how the platform integrates with third-party devices and external technology providers, enabling expansion into new adjacent sectors. Reporting to the Head of Product, you’ll act as the bridge between Product, Engineering, and Commercial teams — translating customer outcomes into scalable propositions and functional requirements that support agile delivery.
Key focus of the role:
- Develop a strong understanding of the payments ecosystem within our clients specific niche, including market trends, operators, partners, merchants, and payment schemes.
- Define the product vision and roadmap for the vertical, evolving it from a standalone capability into a scalable platform proposition.
- Lead expansion into new acceptance channels and emerging adjacent sectors.
- Own API strategy and enablement, ensuring seamless integration with partner technologies and external devices.
- Develop the vision and roadmap for a key new vertical, shifting from a "feature" mindset to a "scalable ecosystem" mindset.
- Work with commercial and engineering teams to deliver new initiatives from concept through launch.
- Translate customer needs into prioritised functional requirements for delivery teams.
- Identify product-market opportunities and drive adoption in new commercial segments.
- Support strategic partnerships that accelerate product reach and ecosystem growth.
What we’re looking for:
- Ideally you'll have 5 or more years in Product Management with experience scaling products into new markets or customer segments within the FinTech or Payments domain.
- Strong experience with payments APIs and in-person transaction environments.
- Able to engage in technical design discussions around APIs, integrations, and third-party technology ecosystems.
- Familiarity with agile delivery and regulated payment environments.
- Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives while balancing commercial priorities and delivery timelines.
- Degree in Business, Technology, or related field preferred.
