Our client is looking for a Senior Product Designer to improve digital experiences for members, employers and distribution partners across web, mobile and employer services.
This is a hands-on product design role with a strong emphasis on UI craft, supported by broad UX capability. You’ll independently take work from discovery through to design and developer handover, creating clear, consistent experiences that balance customer needs, business goals and technical constraints.
You’ll work closely with product, design, business and development colleagues. The initial project is expected to focus on improving B2B services, with opportunities to contribute to other customer journeys and digital touchpoints over time.
What you’ll do
- Own design briefs from discovery and journey definition through to detailed UI design and developer handover.
- Review and improve existing services, customer journeys and interfaces.
- Produce high-quality, hands-on UX/UI designs, prototypes and flows.
- Contribute to design systems, guidelines and consistent experiences across digital touchpoints.
- Work closely with developers to ensure designs are clear, feasible and delivered as intended.
- Present your work, explain your design choices and respond constructively to feedback.
- Use customer, business and competitor insight to guide decisions, and advocate for user testing and iteration where appropriate.
- Help translate a new brand identity into effective digital product experiences.
What we’re looking for
- Strong experience in hands-on product design, particularly UI and interface design, supported by a solid UX foundation.
- A portfolio demonstrating design systems work, improvements to an existing service, and a new product or initiative.
- Examples that explain your personal contribution, the problem, the insight behind your decisions, and the impact of your work.
- Experience taking design work from discovery through to development handover.
- Confidence communicating and defending design decisions with stakeholders.
- Strong collaboration with product and development teams, with awareness of technical feasibility.
- Experience in financial services or another regulated industry would be an advantage.
- Experience applying a new brand across digital products would also be valuable.
A portfolio is required for consideration. It should show your role in each project, the reasoning behind your design choices, and how you balanced customer needs with business and technical requirements.
The role is based in Canary Wharf, with two office days each week. One day is fixed; the second can be flexible depending on circumstances.
