We’re looking for a Senior Network Engineer to design, secure, and operate a large-scale hybrid network across Microsoft Azure, corporate offices, datacentres, and a nationwide retail estate. This is a hands-on role with architectural input, covering Azure networking, enterprise LAN/WAN, firewalls, SD-WAN, hybrid connectivity, and retail store networking. You’ll be responsible for availability, performance, resilience, and security across both corporate and customer-facing environments.
What You’ll Do
- Design and operate Azure networking (VNets, routing, Azure Firewall, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, load balancing)
- Manage enterprise LAN/WAN using Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, Juniper, or equivalent
- Deploy and support firewalls (SonicWall, Palo Alto, Fortinet) and secure network segmentation
- Design and support retail store networks (Meraki, SD-WAN/MPLS, POS connectivity, Wi-Fi, 4G/5G failover)
- Operate hybrid connectivity between Azure and on-prem environments
- Monitor and troubleshoot complex network issues across cloud, datacentre, and retail
- Automate network builds using Terraform, PowerShell, Python, or Azure CLI
- Work with vendors, carriers, and service providers to maintain SLA performance
- Enterprise routing, switching, and firewall expertise
- Proven retail networking and POS support experience
- Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VPNs, DNS/DHCP, IPv4/IPv6
- Experience with SD-WAN and hybrid cloud connectivity
- Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills
- Azure Virtual WAN or cloud firewalls
- AWS networking exposure
