We have recently partnered with a growing tech organisation, based in York, who are building out a brand new Project Management capability. Within this, they are looking to recruit a Project Manager, as well as other positions.

The Project Manager will be responsible for leading the full end-to-end delivery of projects, in a complex, multi-workstream environment. The ideal candidate will come from a public sector, government funded or non-profit organisation and have experience working in agile/waterfall methodologies, as well as having strong client management skills.

The role is based in York and is a hybrid role, so 2/3 days in office is the expectation.

What we are looking for:

  • Background in public sector, government funded or non-profit environments
  • Experience delivering projects in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
  • Project management qualification (PRINCE2, APM, Agile or equivalent)
  • Strong planning, organisation, and reporting skills
  • Experience managing budgets, resources, and suppliers
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of assigned projects (initiation to closure)
  • Develop and maintain plans, schedules, budgets, and RAID logs
  • Manage scope, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and reporting
  • Coordinate delivery across internal teams, partners, and suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with governance, lifecycle, and funder requirements
  • Manage suppliers, contracts, and Statements of Work
  • Provide clear reporting and escalate key risks and decisions
  • Support audits, assurance, and project closure activities
