Job Description

Are you looking to work as a trusted adviser to clients in the defined benefit pensions sector? This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager in a new consulting practice, where you would get to deliver a range of pensions administration related projects to clients, including GMPe, Pensions Dashboards, regulatory change, client onboarding, buy ins/buyouts and more.

What you'll do:

  • Lead the initiation and implementation of key administration projects e.g. pensions dashboards, GMP equalisation, factor reviews, legislative change.
  • Support in new administration client implementations
  • Work with administration system provider, admin systems team, clients and the wider business to improve system automation
  • Act as an interface to clients on administration project matters, including preparing papers for Trustee and client service review meetings.
  • Participate in external industry forums
  • Monitor upcoming legislative and regulatory changes impacting pensions administration
  • Oversee the implementation of annual scheme events
  • Identify opportunities to contribute to the business's financial success, including areas for revenue generation
  • Develop and manage budgets related to administration projects

This role would suit someone who has:

  • Experience in a top-tier pensions consultancy/third-party administrator or from a large defined benefit pension scheme.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong numeric, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Positive attitude & energy.
  • Knowledge of the pensions risk transfer market, including working with schemes as they move through the buy-in to buy-out process.
  • Experience in working in an FCA regulated industry with working knowledge of Consumer Duties requirements.
  • Pensions qualification such as FIA or PMI.

the role comes with a competitive salary between £80-90k plus the following benefits

  • Annual performance bonus
  • 25 days holiday (increasing to 30 with service) plus bank holidays.
