A leading London Market insurance organisation is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join a major Digital Underwriting Transformation programme. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced London Market BA who can confidently engage with senior underwriting stakeholders and play a key role in shaping the future of digitally assisted underwriting capabilities.
The programme focuses on enhancing an existing underwriting workbench platform through bespoke development within a modern microservices architecture. The environment is highly collaborative and technology-driven, with integrations across multiple internal systems and third-party providers to support digitally assisted underwriting capabilities.

The Role
You’ll work closely with Underwriters, Product Owners, Architects, CIO/CDO functions, and delivery teams to define requirements, improve underwriting workflows, and support the evolution of underwriting technology capabilities. This role requires someone who can bring credibility, structure, and confidence into stakeholder discussions while effectively bridging business and technology teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Work directly with underwriters to define underwriting data requirements
- Map underwriting processes, workflows, and dependencies
- Produce BRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog items
- Support integrations with internal platforms and external providers
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions
- Collaborate across Product, Architecture, and Delivery teams
- Operate within a multi-vendor environment alongside consulting partners
Required Experience
- Strong London Market insurance experience
- Proven Digital Underwriting transformation/project experience
- Experience working on underwriting workbench implementations
- Ability to engage credibly with senior underwriting stakeholders
- Strong Agile delivery experience
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience creating BRDs, user stories, and backlog items
- Strong understanding of underwriting workflows and insurance data structures
Highly Desirable
- Exposure to platforms/tools such as Cytora or Mia
- Experience within Specialty and Commercial insurance lines
- Experience working within complex integration environments
