Job Summary: Develop and deliver technical support by providing timely and accurate product and tax guidance to internal teams and change projects. Deliver specialist training to internal stakeholders, including designing and preparing supporting materials and presentations. Support the management of technical documentation, maintaining key documents (e.g. policy provisions, scheme rules, application forms) and providing input into marketing materials and online content. Represent the business at industry forums (e.g. Origo, Criterion, Equity Release Council) and contribute to internal responses to proposed changes in UK Government policy and financial services regulation impacting retirement products.
What will you be doing:
- Technical support for internal teams: Act as the product and tax technical lead for retirement-related queries, supporting decision-making across product terms, technical rules, documentation, complex cases, and tax treatment (including areas such as death claims, divorce, trusts, and contributions/payments). Review, interpret, and assess the impact of changes to technical standards and legislation affecting retirement products (e.g. HMRC guidance, pension updates, industry standards). Act as a key liaison with tax authorities to ensure compliance with reporting requirements and correct tax treatment, including for non-UK jurisdictions such as the Isle of Man, Jersey, and Guernsey.
- Technical support to change projects: Provide technical leadership on projects impacting retirement products, including product developments, regulatory changes, and annual updates. Support the creation and validation of technical requirements and assist with user acceptance testing (UAT). Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of compliant solutions.
- Training and development: Design and deliver technical training to internal teams. Provide guidance on new legislation, standards, and product or process changes.
- Technical documentation: Lead the management, review, and approval of key documentation and forms. Provide technical input to marketing materials and customer communications.
- Policy and regulatory support: Collaborate with internal teams to support responses to regulatory and legislative changes impacting retirement products.
Experience and Skills:
