We are seeking an experienced Head of Finance to provide senior leadership and strategic finance support to C-suite commercial leadership within a large financial services organisation. This is a highly visible role, operating as a trusted finance business partner across Commercial, Product and Channel leadership teams, with ownership of financial planning, performance and investment decision support.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Finance Business Partner to C-suite commercial leadership and senior leadership teams
- Lead and develop a small team of qualified accountants and treasury professionals
- Co-author and deliver the 3-Year Plan, budget and forecasts across products, channels and legal entities
- Own P&L and Balance Sheet performance, including underlying and strategic investment activity
- Drive delivery of the budget, proactively identifying and managing risks and opportunities
- Optimise treasury and client cash strategy, balancing client outcomes and commercial returns
- Champion cost discipline, operating leverage and profitable growth
- Improve MI and insight, with a strong forward-looking focus
- Review, challenge and recommend high-quality plans and forecasts to the Executive Leadership Team
- Lead financial input into investment cases, pricing, incentives and operational optimisation
- Sponsor value-add analysis across the business, ensuring alignment with Consumer Duty and Assessment of Value
- Own finance risk and controls maturity across Commercial and Product functions
- Drive continuous improvement in processes, insight and ways of working
Experience & Qualifications
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Senior Commercial Finance / FP&A / Finance Business Partnering background
- Proven experience partnering with C-suite and senior commercial leaders
- Strong ownership of planning, budgeting, forecasting and investment cases
- Track record of leading teams and influencing senior stakeholders
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous, delivery-focused environment
