Leading Financial Services business is looking for a Data Engineering Manager to lead a team of 6-7 Data Engineers delivering data products across core finance, ledger and back-office systems within a complex, regulated environment. This role is ideal for a leader who combines strong modern data engineering expertise with a relentless focus on delivering measurable business value.
You'll be responsible for:
- Leading, coaching and developing a team of 6-7 Data Engineers.
- Delivering business-critical data products supporting finance and ledger platforms.
- Partnering with Product Managers and business stakeholders to translate priorities into technical delivery.
- Driving engineering standards, delivery, data quality and governance.
- Ensuring the team focuses on business outcomes, not just technical outputs.
Skills/Experience:
- Experience leading modern data engineering teams.
- Strong technical knowledge of Snowflake, dbt and cloud data platforms.
- Proven track record of delivering data solutions that create measurable business value, with a focus on outcomes rather than technical activity.
- Financial services, banking or insurance experience.
- Excellent stakeholder management and the ability to influence both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with finance, ledger or back-office systems within a regulated environment (e.g. financial services, banking or insurance) is highly desirable.
