An exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst with strong data skills to join a global consultancy specialising within the Lloyd’s and London Market insurance sector. This role sits at the heart of underwriting, operations, data, and technology teams, supporting the enhancement of insurance systems, data flows, and reporting capabilities across the London Market value chain. This is a highly business-facing role suited to someone with strong London Market expertise combined with excellent data analysis and systems knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Analyse end-to-end underwriting and policy lifecycle workflows
- Gather and document business requirements, functional specifications, and data mappings
- Support solution design for system enhancements and integrations
- Work across policy administration, underwriting, delegated authority, and exposure management systems
- Support data transformation, validation, and bordereaux processing
- Monitor and improve data quality, lineage, and governance
- Work with ETL processes, data warehouses, and reporting pipelines
- Support London Market messaging standards including PPL, ACORD, APIs, and Blueprint Two initiatives
- Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, finance, operations, and IT stakeholders
- Assist with dashboards, MI reporting, and analytical insights
Qualifications
- Strong Lloyd’s / London Market insurance experience
- Proven Business Data Analysis background within insurance
- Experience working with underwriting and policy administration systems
- Knowledge of delegated authority and bordereaux processing
- Strong understanding of insurance data flows and data mapping
- Exposure to ETL processes and data transformation
- Basic SQL capability (queries, joins, data interrogation)
- Familiarity with ACORD messaging standards and PPL workflows
