Key Responsibilities
- Analyse root causes of the partial ERP migration failure, including data integrity issues, process gaps, configuration errors, and technical misconfigurations.
- Develop, own, and maintain a comprehensive ERP product roadmap focused on stabilisation, remediation, and phased rollout.
- Act as the primary Epicor Subject Matter Expert, advising on system capabilities, configuration options, best practices, and constraints.
- Translate business requirements into Epicor functionality, user stories, epics, and enhancements that align with Epicor’s core architecture.
- Own, prioritise, and manage the ERP product backlog, defining clear acceptance criteria and ensuring delivery meets both business and technical requirements.
- Work closely with Finance, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams to core functions.
- Configure and manage Epicor environments, including Company and Plant Configuration, User Access Control and Security Management, and System Agent and Task Scheduling.
- Leverage Epicor tools to maximise business value.
- Support and perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate solutions prior to release.
- Utilise Epicor REST APIs to support system integrations where required.
- Act as the key liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, facilitating workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and solution validation.
- Communicate Epicor capabilities, limitations, and trade-offs clearly to non-technical users and senior stakeholders.
- Collaborate on training materials and adoption plans to ensure successful user uptake and long-term system effectiveness.
Experience Required
- Proven experience as an ERP Product Owner, Product Manager, ERP System Manager, or similar role within enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience delivering or remediating Epicor ERP implementations and migrations.
- Strong functional knowledge across Epicor modules: Supply Chain (Inventory, Purchasing, Shipping), Manufacturing (Job Management, Scheduling, MES).
- Solid understanding of Epicor Kinetic UI, including interface configuration and personalisation.
- Experience with Epicor configuration, security, BPMs, BAQs, dashboards, SSRS reporting, and REST APIs.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical and business process issues, particularly those related to ERP migrations and data quality.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile delivery methodologies (Scrum / Kanban), and data migration processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts and system limitations to non-technical audiences.
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and able to balance strategic oversight with hands-on delivery.
