We are currently recruiting for a Tax Manager opportunity with a leading professional services organisation.
This is a senior technical and client-facing role, ideal for an experienced tax professional with strong knowledge of IR35, employment status and employment tax.
The Role
You will provide specialist tax advice to clients, act as a technical escalation point and support the delivery and review of complex consultancy assignments.
Key responsibilities include
- Advising clients on IR35, Off-Payroll Working and employment status.
- Providing advice across employment tax and personal tax matters.
- Reviewing technical reports, advisory opinions and client recommendations.
- Managing and supporting HMRC enquiries, disclosures and settlements.
- Advising on PAYE, National Insurance, CIS and National Minimum Wage compliance.
- Monitoring changes in legislation, HMRC guidance and case law.
- Mentoring and supporting Tax Consultants within the team.
- Building strong client relationships and providing commercially focused advice.
- Supporting complex client engagements and wider consultancy projects.
About You
We are looking for an experienced tax professional with
- ATT, ACA or ACCA qualification, or significant relevant experience.
- Experience advising on IR35, Off-Payroll Working and employment status.
- Strong UK employment tax and personal tax knowledge.
- Experience dealing with HMRC enquiries, disclosures and settlements.
- Strong technical review and advisory skills.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- Experience mentoring or developing other tax professionals.
- The ability to manage multiple client engagements and competing priorities.
Experience within a consultancy, professional services or legal environment would be advantageous.
