Senior Recruitment Consultant – Cloud, DevOps & Testing

Fantastic new opportunity to join our Edinburgh-based client with a global presence, specialising in best-in-class Cloud-based technology. The business is now recruiting for a highly seasoned and strategic Head of QA to work on a number of exciting products and projects, as they continue to grow out their tech team.
This is a senior leadership role, with the requirement to advocate for quality at an organisational level. The ideal candidate will have the gravitas to lead and own the department and elevate the QA function. This is a truly unique role, as the successful applicant will have the opportunity to shape and grow the role, setting the strategy for the QA function and making a significant impact on the business.
You must be able to operate at all levels, up to C-suite, and collaborate with wider teams, including engineers and developers, while working with a blended team of manual testers and technical Test Engineers, carrying out automation testing. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with strong technical expertise, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for continuous improvement.
Key Experience (A blend of):
- Extensive experience in Quality Assurance, including within a leadership role.
- Proven experience managing and scaling QA teams.
- Experience with test automation environments, tools, and frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, etc.)
- Expertise in CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated testing into the development lifecycle.
- Experience implementing shift-left testing practices.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and their impact on quality assurance.
- Experience in a highly scalable SaaS or product-driven environment (preferred, not essential).
Candidates will be considered from a range of backgrounds and should have a blend of the above, but must be proactive, driven, and enthusiastic to cope with the fast-paced nature of the role.
