New Cloud Operations Engineer role to the market for one of our successful and innovative partners in Glasgow, operating in the data management field. You will be responsible for managing, monitoring and optimising the internal cloud infrastructure to ensure reliability, security and cost-efficiency; focusing on automation and system performance.

As they continue to scale, my client are looking for a talented and driven Cloud Operations Engineer with an Azure background to join the team and you will have a blend of the following skills:

  • Key expertise (A blend of):
  • 2 years minimum Azure experience
  • Experience with Azure Active Directory/Entra ID, Active Directory, Windows Server, and Linux (CentOS, AlmaLinux)
  • Experience with automation tooling such as Terraform and Azure DevOps
  • Version control experience with Git
  • Familiarity with ITIL and service desk tooling
  • Scripting in PowerShell or Bash
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Skilled in managing conflicting priorities

Responsibilities:

  • Deploying / maintaining the infrastructure that supports the SaaS offering.
  • Ensure platforms are secure, performant and stable.
  • Hands‑on technical involvement in operational and development tasks
  • Working with a blend of different business units, as well as external cloud providers
  • Utilise key tools such as Terraform, Azure DevOps and Git
