A number of Electrical Technicians are wanted on a permanent basis by a global client of ours who are at the forefront of their industry. The successful candidate will be part of a wider maintenance team and focus their time on ensuring electrical hazards are avoided and scheduled maintenance tasks are carried out.

Overview of the Electrical Technician role:

  • Carry out scheduled maintenance tasks in accordance with the Asset Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Report, via CMMS, on the maintenance tasks performed including an assessment of the asset condition.
  • Provide support e.g. making isolations or locating and explaining the operation of assets, to facilitate work being performed by other members of the Operations and Maintenance team or for project teams.

Key skills and qualifications required for the Electrical Technician role:

  • Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship or equivalent formal training.
  • Level 3 or equivalent in Electrotechnical Systems and/or installation and maintenance.
  • BS 7671 IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition) Certificate.
  • Willingness to obtain COMPEX (Ex01–Ex04).
  • Strong understanding of safety systems, electrical schematics, and control wiring.
  • Experience working under Permit to Work, LOTO, and isolation procedures.
  • Proven competence in fault-finding, maintenance, and installation of LV electrical systems.
