Several Electrical Design Engineers are wanted on a permanent basis by a global Engineering client of ours who is at the forefront of their industry. In this role, the successful candidate will ultimately be responsible for the execution of design solutions within a multi-discipline engineering team, supporting product development for the company.
This is a permanent opportunity that includes a base salary of between £38,000 - £43,000 dependent upon experience and qualifications plus bonuses and benefits.
Overview of the Electrical Design Engineer role:- Verify that the designs meet the requirements and conform to the relevant design standards by calculation and/or testing as appropriate.
- Be accountable for the design and development of sub-assemblies of a product ensuring the specified quality and cost are achieved to the agreed task time scale.
- Accountable for the detailed documentation of the design (models, drawings, design data, BOM, test data) ensuring all relevant information is recorded in a timely manner in accordance.
- A solid Electrically biased engineering degree (or other relevant engineering qualification with a few years post-graduation industry experience).
- Previous experience in product development as well as design for manufacture/design for assembly.
- Experience in the use of a range of engineering materials and with several manufacturing methods/techniques.
- 3D and 2D CAD skills (e.g. CATIA, AutoCAD, SolidWorks etc).
- An understanding of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and system schematics.
