We’re working with a leading financial services organisation to recruit an experienced Procurement Manager. This role sits within a highly regulated environment and works closely with senior stakeholders to manage supplier strategy, onboarding, and ongoing governance. You’ll play a key role in ensuring suppliers are selected, onboarded, and managed in line with FCA and PRA regulatory requirements, while delivering strong commercial value to the business. This is a fast-paced opportunity suited to someone with strong procurement experience in financial services or insurance, who can manage multiple priorities and operate confidently across a complex stakeholder landscape.
Key Responsibilities- Align procurement activity with wider business and regulatory objectives
- Lead sourcing activity, including RFP processes and supplier selection
- Manage end-to-end contract lifecycle, including onboarding, renewals, and exits
- Ensure all third-party suppliers are compliant with FCA/PRA requirements and internal governance frameworks
- Support and deliver robust supplier onboarding processes, including due diligence and risk assessments
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and external suppliers
- Oversee contract management activity, including performance, risk, and compliance monitoring
- Drive cost savings through effective negotiation and sourcing strategies
- Monitor and report on savings targets and procurement performance
- Identify and escalate risks associated with supplier relationships
- Support procurement governance, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Proven experience managing procurement activity within Financial Services or Insurance
- Strong understanding of FCA and PRA regulations, particularly in relation to third-party onboarding and supplier risk management
- Experience leading complex RFP processes with Tier 1 suppliers
- Category experience across professional services and/or claims supply chain preferred
- Experience supporting underwriting and/or claims functions advantageous
- CIPS qualification (or working towards) preferred
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
- Experience managing supplier relationships, performance, and risk
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, regulated environment
- Experience working within large, complex organisations
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Strong analytical capability, including interpreting financial data to inform decisions
- A collaborative approach and ability to influence at all levels
