We are looking for experienced senior Fullstack Java Software Engineers to support projects across UK Government and Policing. You will work in multidisciplinary teams delivering secure, reliable and scalable systems. The role is hands-on and focused on building high quality software using modern engineering practices.
What you’ll do:
- You will design, build and maintain Java based microservices, applying test driven development and following established engineering standards.
- You will work with technologies including Java, Spring Boot, Postgres, Kafka, Docker, React and AWS.
- You will contribute to CI/CD pipelines, ensure non-functional requirements are met and collaborate with colleagues across engineering, analysis and design.
Essential experience:
- Java and Spring Boot
- Building and maintaining microservice based systems
- Postgres or other relational SQL databases
- Test-driven development (JUnit, Mockito or similar)
- Docker and containerisation
- CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or similar)
- Working in agile, multi-disciplinary teams
Desirable experience:
