Our client, a leading financial services company, is seeking a high-impact Tester/Full Stack QA Engineer with experience delivering software through lean product teams and a fast release cadence. This is a hands-on role for someone who can combine functional testing, automation, quality advocacy, and team influence without stepping away from delivery.

The role involves:

  • Sitting inside one product team, taking ownership of quality across the full test lifecycle, and working closely with developers, product, business analysts, and offshore testers to deliver high-quality releases.
  • Owning and evolving automation built in Katalon, including maintaining inherited test packs and creating new scripts.
  • Driving quality within a cross-functional Scrum team across planning, refinement, sprint activity, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Designing, executing, and maintaining both manual and automated tests across functional, integration, and regression coverage.
  • Working closely with engineering and DevOps teams to tackle defects, deployment blockers, and environment issues quickly.
  • Partnering with offshore testers, giving direction where needed, and helping build stronger testing capability across the wider team.
  • Supporting a shift-left approach, improving collaboration with developers, and helping move testing beyond UI into stronger API and upstream quality practices.
  • Tracking and improving quality through meaningful metrics such as test coverage, automation coverage, defect density, and leakage.
  • Building product and business knowledge quickly so testing is grounded in real-world process understanding.

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience operating as a Tester/Quality Engineer at a high level in a hands-on delivery role, within the financial services sector.
  • Solid Katalon expertise - this is the key requirement for the role.
  • Strong experience in Agile/Scrum teams across both manual testing and automation.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps delivery practices, and Azure Test Plans.
  • Strong experience using Java or Groovy in a QA capacity.
  • Experience with Pega, including scenario testing preferred but not required.
  • Strong analytical thinking, clear communication, collaboration skills, and the ability to stay effective under pressure.
  • Confidence working directly with developers, delivery leads, product stakeholders, and business users.
