I am currently recruiting for a Senior Platform Engineer to join a leading financial services organisation based in the UK. Within this role, the candidate must have a strong background of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes (GKE), and have experience working with CI/CD concepts and tools.
Salary - Up to £72,000 + strong benefits (including share options worth over £13,000 annually)
Location - Fully Remote Working - with occasional travel if required onsite
Main Duties
- Design and deliver infrastructure as code solutions using Terraform, enabling scalable and secure environments
- Manage and deploy application workloads to GKE clusters using Helm charts, supporting best practices in workload isolation and service configurations
- Support the engineering community by defining infrastructure standards, reusable tooling, and shared CI/CD workflows
- Develop and support CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps promoting automation across delivery pipelines
Experience Required
- Strong hands on experience of GCP and Kubernetes (GKE)
- Working knowledge of CI/CD concepts and practical experience with tools like Azure DevOps
- Excellent mentorship skills - someone who has previously managed and mentored more junior team members
- An understanding of shared service architecture, security and access control patterns
