Sanderson are working with a leading manufacturer that designs and delivers specialist protection solutions for high-risk and mission-critical environments. We are seeking a hands-on Business Systems Technical Analyst to join a small, high-impact Business Excellence function within a manufacturing team. This role sits at the intersection of IT, manufacturing systems (MES), and process improvement, offering breadth, ownership, and visibility early on.
You will take responsibility for existing business systems, contribute to MES and technical process improvements, and act as a key technical bridge between IT, manufacturing, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:- Hands-on technical support on business systems and MES technology projects.
- Development, maintenance, and optimisation of key business systems, with emphasis on manufacturing execution and technical process efficiency.
- Solid technical foundation, specifically with SQL.
- Familiarity or interest in MES and business systems.
- Adaptable to handle new technologies and platforms as required by business need.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions aligned with strategic objectives.
- Manage relationships with vendors, service providers, and integration partners.
- 3-5 years' technical/analytical post-graduate experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong technical aptitude; someone who can quickly absorb and deliver across a range of business systems and technical tasks, even if direct experience is lacking.
- Degree-level education, valued for evidence of intellectual agility and ability to operate at required level.
- Hands-on experience with SQL; must demonstrably handle and interact with SQL databases.
- Interest in business systems, MES (manufacturing execution systems), and technical process improvement.
- A proactive, 'go-getter' mindset; curious, solutions-focused, and willing to take ownership.
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
- Exposure to MES platforms, automation, or shop-floor systems.
Willingness to travel to US sites on an occasional basis (maximum once per year).
