A Commercial Procurement Manager is wanted on a permanent basis by a global client of ours who is at the forefront of their industry and going through a real period of growth. In this role, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to be involved in and contribute to some of the most exciting and interesting challenges that face the UK Defence Sector today, in both the Public and Private sector.
This is a permanent opportunity that includes a base salary of between £40,000 - £70,000 dependent upon experience and qualifications plus car allowance and benefits.
Overview of the Commercial Procurement Manager role:- Work directly with various Defence Clients supporting them in delivering outcomes across the end-to-end commercial lifecycle.
- You will be tasked with delivering on the Procurement and Commercial Strategy, End-to-End Contract Management as well as Risk and Performance Management.
- Proactively monitor supplier performance, applying strategies and tools to secure the maximum value from contracts, motivating performance whilst driving innovation and continuous improvement.
- Hold current SC or be eligible for Security Clearance.
- Possess an ability to identify and manage risk through the application of procurement/commercial tools and strategies.
- Understand and apply programme, portfolio, and project management tools to everyday work.
- Professional qualification(s) in Business, Procurement/Supply Chain Management, Law, Project Management or a similar relevant discipline.
