This is a hands‑on, delivery‑focused Senior Data Architect role. You’ll act as the design authority for data architecture, working closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to modernise a complex data estate using Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, and Databricks.
As a Senior Data Architect, you will:
- Own solution‑level data architecture across multiple programmes and domains
- Produce and govern high‑level and low‑level data architecture designs
- Act as Data Design Authority, assuring solutions meet architectural, security, and governance standards
- Shape the future‑state cloud data platform built on Microsoft Fabric
- Work across Azure‑hosted data platforms, balancing legacy and modern architectures
- Full re‑architecture into Fabric lakehouse patterns
- Provide architectural leadership for an existing Databricks Single Customer View focusing on remediation, data mastering, and identity consistency
- Ensure alignment with data governance, metadata, lineage, quality, and regulatory requirements
This role is heavily focused on delivery, transformation, and modernisation.
You’ll be a Senior Data Architect with:
- A strong background in traditional data warehousing and MI/reporting architectures
- Data pipelines, semantic models, and analytical layers
- Power BI and data consumption patterns
- Data governance and metadata tools (e.g. Purview or similar)
- Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and challenging constructively
If you’re a Senior Data Architect looking for a cloud‑first, Microsoft Fabric‑led transformation role where you can influence real delivery, this is an opportunity to make a lasting impact.
