A Mechanical Fitter is wanted on a permanent basis by a global client of ours who are at the forefront of their industry. The successful candidate will be heavily involved in the full Engineering project lifecycle, whilst having an in depth understanding of pumps, rotating equipment and working to fine tolerances.

This is a permanent opportunity that includes a base salary of up to £45,000 plus bonus and benefits.

Overview of the Mechanical Fitter role:
  • Provide guidance and advice during manufacturing, assembly and test processes associated with the production to ensure deliveries are made on time, by expediting the work as it progresses and re-prioritising if necessary.
  • Create BOM from data sheet produced by the technical department ensuring compliance with all customer specifications.
  • Following the production of the BOM, liaise with, and guide the Material Controller and CAD Designer to ensure that any new drawings required are produced to reflect the specific technical requirements of the project.
Key skills and qualifications required for the Mechanical Fitter role:
  • Strong experience with Pumps/Seals, ideally coming from a 'hands-on' Mechanical Engineering background (preferably within Mechanical Fitting/Mechanical Assembly).
  • Possess previous experience dealing with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Any relevant qualification or experience from HND to degree level will be considered for this position.
