Our client, a leading Financial Services Firm, who are going through a period of positive growth and technological change, are looking to hire an experienced Resilience Manager to specialise in Technology and Third-Party Resilience. This is a specialist, senior role.
You will lead the embedding of a robust technology resilience framework within a regulated financial services environment. This role is accountable for ensuring the continuity, integrity, and availability of technology services, with a strong focus on Important Business Services and the resilience impact of third-party suppliers. You will shape and deliver a comprehensive technology resilience strategy aligned to regulatory requirements, operational priorities, and client expectations, while promoting a strong culture of resilience across technology and business teams.
What you’ll be doing:
- Own and maintain the Technology and Third-Party Resilience Framework, including policies, standards, controls, and governance.
- Embed technology resilience practices across digital and business teams.
- Partner with engineering, operational resilience, security, and risk teams to oversee resilience uplift programmes, vulnerability remediation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead and support resilience activities including:
- Business Impact Analyses (BIAs) and Business Continuity Plans (BCPs)
- Disaster Recovery (DR) planning, scheduling, and testing
- Scenario testing
- Third-party risk exposure assessments
- ICARA and wind-down planning considerations
- Identification and protection of Important Business Services
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in a regulated environment like financial services is essential with an understanding of regulatory expectations.
- Proven experience designing, executing, and embedding Technology Resilience and Disaster Recovery strategies and frameworks.
- Strong experience working with Important Business Services (IBS), third-party risk management, and cloud-hosted environments (public and private).
- Experience working closely with software development and infrastructure teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills, capable of translating complex technical resilience concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Analytical and solution-focused approach, with a collaborative mindset.
- Experience defining meaningful resilience metrics and producing high-quality reporting and data visualisation.
Working arrangements:
- Permanent, full-time role (37.5 hours per week)
- Hybrid working model – 1 day a week in Bristol
