Working with a leading insurance client who are looking for an Analytics Engineer contractor - the requirement is for someone to play a key role in shaping data models (DBT), enhancing data quality and empowering stakeholders to make data-driven decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain analytics models using dbt core
- Create dbt Tests and Documentation
- Utilise Git-Based Workflows
- Work closely with business analysts to translate analytical requirements into efficient and scalable data models
- On-Premises MSSQL Integration
- Python Development

Key Skills:
- Proven experience building and maintaining analytics models with dbt core
- Strong understanding of and hands-on ability to create dbt tests and maintain dbt documentation
- Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows (branching, pull requests, code review)
- Demonstrable experience working with Python for data engineering or analytics purposes
- Ability to partner with non-technical stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver actionable data solutions
- Solid SQL skills, with the ability to write complex queries and optimise for performance
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, dimensional modelling, and ETL/ELT processes
- Experience with data quality assurance, testing frameworks, and troubleshooting data issues
- Strong communication skills and the ability to document technical solutions clearly
