Job Role: Staff Engineer (React / NestJS)
Working Model: Full-Time – Remote (with occasional quarterly workshops/events)

Are you a senior engineer who thrives on leading technical strategy, driving engineering excellence, and mentoring others?
Do you enjoy shaping platforms at scale while staying hands-on with modern technologies?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a major organisation as they rebuild their Digital Experience Platform, moving away from a legacy monolithic system to a modern, cloud-native, customer-first solution. You\’ll play a key delivery-focused role, supporting multiple squads and working alongside Principal Engineers and senior stakeholders to deliver complex, high-impact initiatives.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience as a Senior/Staff Engineer within web and mobile application development

  • Strong expertise in React and NestJS (frontend-weighted, 60% web / 40% backend)

  • Experience designing and delivering micro frontend architectures with module federation

  • Deep knowledge of CI/CD, automation, and testing frameworks across unit, integration, E2E, and non-functional testing

  • Cloud-native expertise, ideally GCP or Azure (open to AWS)

  • Skilled in Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform

  • Knowledge of secure development practices, OWASP, authentication/authorisation

  • Familiar with mobile frameworks (e.g. Ionic Capacitor)

  • Strong track record of technical leadership and mentoring across squads

  • Able to engage stakeholders up to C-suite level, influencing without direct authority

About the Role:

  • Join at a critical stage as phase 1 of a new Digital Experience Platform goes live

  • Support 5-6 squads as their most senior delivery-focused technical leader

  • Partner with the Principal Engineer (strategy-focused) to shape technical direction

  • Drive engineering quality, security, scalability, and best practices across squads

  • Act as a mentor, challenger, and enabler – showing teams what good looks like
