Job Title: Oracle Systems Engineer (Oracle Linux KVM SME / Architect) Location: Farnborough (hybrid, 1-3 days onsite per week) Contract Length: 12 months Rate: £630 per day (Inside IR35) Hours: 37.5 per week Clearance: Active SC required (NPPV3 preferred or willingness to undergo) Overview We're looking for an experienced Oracle Linux KVM Specialist / Architect to lead the end-to-end design, build and delivery of enterprise virtualisation platforms in secure, highly regulated environments. This is a senior, hands-on role with ownership across architecture, implementation, and transition into service. Key Responsibilities * Act as the SME for Oracle Linux KVM and Oracle Linux Virtualization Manager (OLVM) * Own architecture and design across virtualisation platforms, including clusters, hosts and networking * Produce high-quality HLD and LLD documentation covering architecture, security, and operational models * Lead build, configuration, and deployment of KVM/OLVM environments * Define standards across security hardening, patching, monitoring and resilience * Design and implement high availability, disaster recovery, and live migration solutions * Collaborate with infrastructure, security and application teams to ensure integration and supportability * Support governance, assurance and technical design reviews * Drive implementation, migration, and operational readiness planning Key Skills
