Excellent opportunity with a leading financial services company. You will be leading a small team of data analysts as well as helping with BAU data automation and manually reporting alongside working on project work in terms of data reporting, whilst promoting positive growth of the business. The successful candidate will lead and support a team of data analysts, providing day-to-day guidance, performance management and strategic direction to deliver high-quality, insightful outputs.
Responsibilities:
- Promote innovation by encouraging the use of new tools, technologies, and methodologies to keep solutions modern and competitive.
- Oversee the delivery of business-as-usual (BAU) reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Drive efficiency through automation and process improvement using tools such as SQL, Python, and Databricks, with a focus on building scalable, future-proof systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand challenges and identify opportunities where data can deliver value.
- Design and implement data-driven solutions and applications enabling fast, informed decision-making for both clients and internal teams.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of robust data governance and quality frameworks, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance across all reporting activities.
- Act as the subject matter expert for Defined Benefit (DB) pension reporting, offering guidance on data structures, reporting requirements and industry best practices to ensure both technical accuracy and contextual relevance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, clients and external partners.
- Communicate complex data findings in a clear and actionable way to support decision-making across technical and non-technical audiences.
