SAP ABAP Development Consultant
Location: Hybrid (Capenhurst monthly + occasional travel to for workshops)
Clearance: BPSS required, ability to obtain SC clearance
Rate: up to £730 per day, inside IR35.
About the role
We\’re seeking a hands-on SAP ABAP Development Consultant to join a SAP delivery team, working on high-profile projects across Europe. You\’ll be responsible for delivering innovative SAP solutions, ensuring quality, and supporting major client programmes using the latest SAP technologies including S/4HANA, CDS Views, Gateway, and Adobe Forms.
This is a client-facing consulting role that requires strong technical expertise, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to work autonomously.
What you\’ll do

Deliver SAP solutions on-site and remotely, ensuring high-quality outcomes.

Work with UK technical and functional teams to deliver reference projects.

Design and implement Clean Core ABAP Programming, CDS Views, FIORI element reports, and Adobe Forms.

Provide expertise across a variety of development objects (e.g. BADI, BAPI, User Exits, Data Dictionary, Web Services Gateway).

Support testing activities including system changes and user testing.

Collaborate closely with clients, acting as a trusted advisor.

Share knowledge across teams and contribute to continuous process improvement.
What you\’ll bring

Proven, hands-on experience as an SAP ABAP Consultant across multiple full lifecycle implementations.

Strong knowledge of S/4HANA and modern SAP technologies.

Experience with a range of development tools including CDS Views, Adobe Forms, and performance tuning.

Familiarity with SAP PO/PI is an advantage.

Strong consulting and client engagement skills with a customer-first approach.
