Summary of the Role We\’re seeking a Reconciliations Team Leader to join our Finance Operations function. This role involves ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records across a Life & Pensions portfolio. You will lead a team of five analysts, managing daily reconciliations, resolving discrepancies, and overseeing month-end processes, while maintaining robust financial controls and compliance with regulatory standards. What You\’ll Be Doing Lead and manage a team of 5 Reconciliation Analysts/Senior Analysts. Allocate tasks and plan capacity to meet SLAs and reporting timelines. Act as the point of escalation for complex reconciliation issues, ensuring timely resolution. Oversee completion of daily, weekly, and monthly control activities and reconciliations. Perform quality checks, giving feedback to ensure accuracy and compliance. Maintain and update procedural documentation and support training plans for the team. Support audit preparation and implement effective action plans where necessary. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency. Ensure a solid understanding and execution of reconciliation processes, including ledger attestations. What We\’re Looking For Strong analytical thinking with advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Solid understanding of finance operations and Life & Pensions administration. Minimum 4 years of experience within financial services. Knowledge of reconciliation controls and ledger processes; experience with BaNCS is a plus. Understanding of relevant financial regulations and compliance standards.
