Summary of the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Reconciliations Analyst to join a collaborative finance operations team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a great opportunity to work across core reconciliation activities, helping ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records. The Reconciliations team plays a crucial role in maintaining financial accuracy through processing payments, receipts, and distributions. As part of this team, you will support key reconciliation activities such as ledger balancing, daily sign-offs, journal entries, and discrepancy investigations. You will also collaborate with operational teams and contribute to the overall financial control environment.
What You Will Be Doing
- Perform end-to-end reconciliations for bank accounts, suspense accounts, and ledger entries
- Balance ledgers daily and complete sign-offs before submission
- Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies and respond to operational queries
- Complete weekly journal entries and support monthly reconciliation activities
- Ensure internal deadlines and service level agreements are consistently met
- Collaborate with colleagues across locations in a hybrid working environment
What We Are Looking For
- 1-2 years of experience in financial services, accountancy, or banking reconciliations
- Confidence to independently investigate and resolve large financial entries
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities
- Familiarity with systems such as BaNCS or similar financial platforms (desirable)
- Comfortable working under deadlines in a fast-paced setting
