The Role: We're working in partnership with a well-known client to hire an experienced People Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day delivery of the function. This role is central to providing a high-quality HR service to employees and managers across the business. You'll manage and develop a team of 8, oversee core HR operations across the employee lifecycle, and drive continuous improvement in how we deliver people services. You'll work closely with the wider People leadership team, Payroll and Employee Relations to ensure service levels are met and the employee experience is consistently strong.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the daily operations of the People Operations team, ensuring HR support across onboarding, offboarding, employee data and benefits.
- Manage workloads, queues and service levels to meet service levels.
- Act as the subject matter expert for the Operations Processes.
- Support peak workloads and cyclical activity with hands-on support when required.
- Monitor employee experience through feedback and surveys, acting on insights.
- Lead, coach and develop a team of People Ops Specialists - 1 to 1s and development pathways in a high performance culture.
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes and improve efficiency.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience managing an HR operations / People Ops / People Hub or Shared Services Team.
- Strong understanding of the employee lifecycle and HR processes.
- Knowledge of UK employment law and HR compliance.
- Confident people manager with experience developing and coaching teams.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience of Employee Relations exposure is an advantage.
