A major technology transformation programme is underway, and we are looking for a Senior Network Service Lead to play a pivotal role in delivering a modern, secure, and resilient enterprise network across multiple sites.
The Opportunity
You will lead the successful delivery, transition, and ongoing assurance of a major Modern Network Programme. Working at the intersection of project delivery and operational services, you will ensure the new network platform is robust, resilient, well-governed, and ready to support the organisation's long-term digital strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the rollout of a new enterprise network across 100+ sites, moving from Cisco to Juniper.
- Act as the link between programme delivery and BAU, removing blockers and ensuring smooth transition.
- Own service acceptance, operational readiness, and transition into steady-state operations.
- Provide senior leadership on resilience, governance, service performance, and risk.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and delivery partners.
- Ensure network services meet targets for availability, resilience, capacity, and security.
- Drive continuous improvement through standardised processes and digital-first practices.
- Assess new technologies, risks, and capability gaps to inform future strategy and investment.
- Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and resilience uplift.
- Lead major incidents and problem resolution, ensuring effective coordination and strong root-cause analysis.
What You’ll Bring
- Strong understanding of L2/L3 networking, hybrid-cloud environments, data centre operations, and service resilience.
- Experience managing suppliers and holding them accountable for SLAs and service performance.
- Solid grasp of service delivery, ITIL practices, service transition, and operational governance.
- Experience working across legacy and modern network environments (Cisco, Juniper).
- Analytical mindset with the ability to navigate risk, evaluate dependencies, and provide clear technical leadership.
