We are working with a highly successful and award-winning UK technology specialist that continues to experience strong year-on-year growth across security, cloud, and managed services. With an outstanding reputation for technical excellence and innovation, this organisation has built a people-first culture that invests heavily in development, progression, and creating an environment where individuals can genuinely thrive. Due to continued expansion, they are now looking to appoint a Security Solutions Architect to join their high-performing Solutions Engineering team.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Solutions Engineering, you will play a key role in supporting business growth by delivering expert pre-sales technical consultancy across a broad security portfolio. This is a client-facing position where you will:
- Engage with customers to understand their security risks, challenges, and objectives
- Design robust, modern, and commercially viable security solutions
- Support the sales function with technical expertise throughout the full sales lifecycle
- Deliver compelling product demonstrations and Proof of Concepts (POCs)
- Produce high-quality proposals, scopes of work, and tender responses
- Present and position solutions confidently against competitive offerings
This role would suit someone with strong consultancy or pre-sales experience who enjoys working directly with customers and shaping secure, scalable IT environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver both chargeable and non-chargeable technical pre-sales services to new and existing customers
- Build and maintain strong technical relationships with clients and prospects
- Support opportunity qualification, discovery sessions, and technical account planning
- Deliver engaging product presentations, demonstrations, webinars, and customer-facing events
- Design and execute tailored POCs
- Evaluate competitive solutions and recommend best-fit technologies
- Contribute to technical solution design and documentation
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience in technical consultancy, pre-sales, or customer-facing project delivery within an MSP or IT reseller environment (essential)
- Strong knowledge across IT infrastructure and security technologies
- Experience working with technologies such as Sophos, Microsoft, N-Able, Mimecast, Barracuda, Fortinet (or similar vendors)
- Strong proposal and tender writing experience
- Excellent presentation and demonstration skills
- Commercial awareness with the ability to articulate business value alongside technical detail
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences
- Right to work in the UK
- Relevant certifications across security, Microsoft, or vendor technologies are highly desirable.
