We are looking for an experienced User Researcher to join a multidisciplinary delivery team working within a secure government environment. This role will play a key part in ensuring user needs are clearly understood and embedded into service and product design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver qualitative and quantitative user research across discovery, alpha, beta, and live phases
  • Conduct user interviews, usability testing, surveys, and research workshops
  • Translate research findings into clear insights and actionable recommendations
  • Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, developers, and policy teams
  • Advocate for user-centred design and evidence-based decision-making
  • Ensure research activities meet accessibility, ethical, and governance standards
  • Contribute to service assessments and design assurance activities
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience delivering user research in complex or regulated environments
  • Strong knowledge of GDS standards and user-centred design practices
  • Experience working within Agile delivery teams
  • Ability to communicate research insights clearly to a range of stakeholders
  • Experience working with sensitive data and constrained user groups
  • Active SC Clearance (mandatory)
