We are looking for an experienced User Researcher to join a multidisciplinary delivery team working within a secure government environment. This role will play a key part in ensuring user needs are clearly understood and embedded into service and product design.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver qualitative and quantitative user research across discovery, alpha, beta, and live phases
- Conduct user interviews, usability testing, surveys, and research workshops
- Translate research findings into clear insights and actionable recommendations
- Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, developers, and policy teams
- Advocate for user-centred design and evidence-based decision-making
- Ensure research activities meet accessibility, ethical, and governance standards
- Contribute to service assessments and design assurance activities
- Proven experience delivering user research in complex or regulated environments
- Strong knowledge of GDS standards and user-centred design practices
- Experience working within Agile delivery teams
- Ability to communicate research insights clearly to a range of stakeholders
- Experience working with sensitive data and constrained user groups
- Active SC Clearance (mandatory)
