Attendance on site is required only once/twice per week. Up to £600 per day (umbrella engagement).
The successful candidate will be required to help provide a high level of proactive and reactive skills and actions to ensure the Network Infrastructure is stable and supportable. You will work within a time pressured environment where stability and performance along with delivery are critical to allow the company to achieve customer & regulatory targets.
General responsibilities:
- Driving improved support through completion of operational acceptance into service measures and activities.
- Ensuring smooth running of IT systems particularly in Key areas.
- Advise on suitable upgrades and concerns of any remedial work in Key areas.
Experience required:
- Cisco Networks.
- Experience of network security products and countermeasure techniques.
- Firewalls (FortiGate/Fortinet preferred).
- Virtual Private Networks (VPN's), Encryption and authentication techniques.
- Knowledge in TCP/IP routing protocols, including OSPF and BGP.
- Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP).
- Extensive Experience in Troubleshooting at all levels in the Networking area.
