We are working with a highly successful and award-winning UK technology specialist that continues to experience strong year-on-year growth across security, cloud, and managed services. Due to continued expansion, they are now looking to appoint a Security Solutions Architect to join their high-performing Solutions Engineering team.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Solutions Engineering, you will play a key role in supporting business growth by delivering expert pre-sales technical consultancy across a broad security portfolio. This is a client-facing position where you will:

  • Engage with customers to understand their security risks, challenges, and objectives
  • Design robust, modern, and commercially viable security solutions
  • Support the sales function with technical expertise throughout the full sales life cycle
  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations and Proof of Concepts (POCs)
  • Produce high-quality proposals, scopes of work, and tender responses
  • Present and position solutions confidently against competitive offerings

This role would suit someone with strong consultancy or pre-sales experience who enjoys working directly with customers and shaping secure, scalable IT environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver both chargeable and non-chargeable technical pre-sales services to new and existing customers
  • Build and maintain strong technical relationships with clients and prospects
  • Support opportunity qualification, discovery sessions, and technical account planning
  • Deliver engaging product presentations, demonstrations, webinars, and customer-facing events
  • Design and execute tailored POCs
  • Evaluate competitive solutions and recommend best-fit technologies
  • Contribute to technical solution design and documentation

Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience in technical consultancy, pre-sales, or customer-facing project delivery within an MSP or IT reseller environment (essential)
  • Strong knowledge across IT infrastructure and security technologies
  • Experience working with technologies such as Sophos, Microsoft, N-Able, Mimecast, Barracuda, Fortinet (or similar vendors)
  • Strong proposal and tender writing experience
  • Excellent presentation and demonstration skills
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to articulate business value alongside technical detail
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Relevant certifications across security, Microsoft, or vendor technologies are highly desirable.
