£500-£550 per day (Inside IR35) | 3-Month Contract Hybrid/Remote (London - 2-3 days per month onsite)

We're partnering with a major UK retail organisation that is investing heavily in its retail media and customer analytics capabilities. They are looking for an experienced Retail Media Analyst to join a growing team focused on measuring, optimising and improving the impact of media and marketing activity across both digital and physical customer touchpoints.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys moving beyond standard reporting and wants to influence commercial decisions through robust analysis, campaign measurement and customer insight.

The Role

You'll play a key role in helping the business understand how retail media activity drives customer engagement, conversion and sales performance. Working closely with commercial, marketing and digital stakeholders, you'll provide data-led recommendations that shape future media investment and optimisation strategies.

The role spans three key areas:

  • Retail media and campaign effectiveness measurement
  • Customer and audience profiling
  • Customer targeting and segmentation

You'll work across a broad mix of onsite and offsite media channels, helping stakeholders understand what drives performance and where investment delivers the greatest return.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of retail media and marketing campaigns across multiple channels
  • Measure incremental impact on key business metrics, including revenue and customer performance
  • Develop and refine measurement frameworks, methodologies and KPIs
  • Analyse customer, behavioural and transactional datasets to identify opportunities and trends
  • Create actionable insights and recommendations for business stakeholders
  • Support audience strategy through customer profiling and segmentation analysis
  • Partner with commercial and marketing teams to optimise campaign performance
  • Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences

Required Experience

  • Proven experience in Retail Media Analytics
  • Strong expertise in campaign measurement and marketing effectiveness
  • Advanced SQL skills with experience working on large customer or transactional datasets
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks
  • Strong understanding of customer analytics, segmentation and targeting
  • Experience measuring performance across multiple marketing channels, including onsite and offsite activity
  • Experience using Python and/or R for analytical work
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics, BigQuery and digital performance metrics
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
