Are you an experienced Technical Architect looking to shape innovative digital services and software solutions? We're seeking a Technical Architect to lead the design and delivery of scalable, secure, and user-centric technology solutions. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you'll provide architectural leadership from initial concept through to implementation, helping organisations make informed technology decisions and deliver impactful digital products.

The Role

  • Design solution architectures for complex software and digital services
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the delivery life cycle
  • Create and maintain architecture documentation, models, and design artefacts
  • Support development teams in implementing architectural solutions
  • Drive governance activities and ensure compliance with architecture, security, and data standards
  • Facilitate technical decision-making with stakeholders at all levels
  • Develop technical roadmaps and contribute to agile delivery planning
  • Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to practice development and business growth

About You

  • Proven experience designing architectures for complex digital platforms and software solutions
  • Strong knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP), APIs, integration patterns, and modern software engineering practices
  • Experience producing architecture documentation and using modelling approaches such as C4, UML, or ArchiMate
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience working within architecture governance and assurance processes
  • A track record of supporting agile delivery teams from design through to implementation
  • A technology-agnostic mindset, focused on delivering the right solution for the challenge
  • An understanding of user-centred design principles and how they influence technology decisions

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working within consultancy environments
  • Knowledge of public sector standards, frameworks, or digital service delivery
  • Experience working across distributed, multidisciplinary teams
