Currently recruiting for a seasoned Network Infrastructure Engineer, working with our leading Edinburgh-based client, specialising in digital transformation. The Network Infrastructure Engineer will be tasked with working on a large programme of projects and upgrades to the Cisco-based network infrastructure.
The successful applicant will have the ability to lead projects and people successfully and will have experience implementing processes and improved ways of working. This alongside a blend of tech skills across Cisco networking, some general infrastructure and familiarity with DevOps processes, will be required to be effective in the role.
Role / Responsibilities
- Breadth of Cisco Networking expertise
- Ability to lead and mentor individuals from a technology perspective and to alleviate operational bottlenecks
- Recent on-premise experience to advise the team and oversee their working methods, suggesting improvements
- Provide infrastructure management support and redefine ways of working for the team to reduce backlog, increasing efficiency
- Implement DevOps with more structure, prioritisation and visibility
- Ideally CCNA+ qualified, to assist with switch work
- Someone highly personable, with excellent communication
