Dimensional Control Inspector BAE Systems | Barrow-in-Furness Duration: 12 months Working Hours: 37 Hours per week (Standard BAE) Working Arrangements: 4 Days per week onsite (Potentially Flexible) Hourly Rate: £35 PAYE or £47.12 Umbrella BAE Systems is recruiting for a Principal Quality Inspector to join its team in Barrow-in-Furness. This role will support the delivery of quality inspections across complex engineering programmes, ensuring products meet required standards and specifications throughout the build process. Key Responsibilities * Carry out quality inspections and assurance activities * Verify and manage non-conformances * Support quality investigations and continuous improvement initiatives * Use measuring equipment to assess product compliance * Review and report inspection findings * Work closely with engineering, manufacturing and quality teams * Support the development of quality processes and best practices * Provide guidance and support to colleagues within the Quality function About You * Proven experience in Dimensional Control and Quality Inspection within a complex engineering environment * Understanding of ISO 9001 and/or EN9100 standards * Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and procedures * Strong problem-solving and communication skills * Experience within manufacturing, engineering, marine, defence or heavy industry environments would be advantageous * NC/HNC in a relevant technical discipline, or equivalent experience * Time-served trade background desirable Why BAE Systems?
