We’re working with a fast-growing specialist insurance business operating in the events, entertainment and sports space, looking to hire a Trainee Account Executive / Account Handler to join an established and supportive team based in Harpenden.
This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for a school leaver, graduate, or someone with customer service experience who is keen to build a long-term career in insurance.
The Role
You’ll support a specialist Events & Prize Insurance team, working closely with clients across sport, marketing and live events. The role combines customer service, sales support and administration, with plenty of scope to learn and progress.
Key responsibilities include:
- Handling inbound customer enquiries and providing product information
- Producing quotations by phone and email
- Taking detailed orders and securing sales
- Delivering ongoing customer support throughout the policy lifecycle
- Working efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
About You
This role would suit someone early in their career who is eager to learn, works quickly and enjoys speaking with customers. We’re looking for someone who:
- Has a strong and confident phone manner
- Is organised, accurate and comfortable using systems and computers
- Learns quickly and enjoys working at pace
- Has a positive, can-do approach to customer service
- Is interested in developing sales skills alongside account handling
Previous insurance experience is not required.

Location & Hours
