Our Sanderson King Hospitality Practice is exclusively mandated to appoint a board-level CFO for a dynamic UK-based hospitality business with an ambitious growth agenda, both domestically and internationally. This is a unique opportunity to join a high-performing leadership team at a pivotal stage, shaping financial strategy and operational excellence across multiple sites and markets.
The Role
Reporting directly to the CEO and working in partnership with the newly appointed Board and senior leadership team, the CFO will act as the organisation’s key financial strategist and operational leader. The role will combine oversight of day-to-day financial operations with a long-term strategic remit, ensuring the business scales sustainably while maintaining high standards and brand integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Strategy & Governance: Define and implement the group’s financial strategy, embedding best-in-class corporate governance and ensuring compliance across domestic and international operations.
- Banking, Treasury & Investor Relations: Manage relationships with banks, lenders, and other stakeholders, balancing short-term performance with long-term growth and brand positioning.
- Operational Oversight: Lead, mentor, and develop finance teams in the UK and France, strengthening reporting, internal controls, and financial infrastructure to support scalable operations.
- Board-Level Influence: Provide insight, challenge, and guidance at board level, contributing to capital planning, investment evaluation, international expansion, and strategic decision-making.
- Commercial & Strategic Input: Partner with the CEO and senior leaders to assess growth opportunities, pricing strategy, margin management, and operational efficiency across multiple sites.
- International Growth: Support the development of new markets, assessing risks and opportunities while ensuring financial discipline and alignment with brand values.

- Significant senior finance leadership experience within the hospitality, F&B sectors.
- Proven track record of scaling businesses across multiple sites and into international markets.
- Experience leading finance teams and building high-performing, commercially-minded finance functions.
- Strong commercial acumen with a balance of bottom-line focus and long-term brand stewardship.
- Comfortable operating at board level, influencing strategic decisions and partnering with executive leadership.
